This is a series about Yoki, a boy who often wakes up during the night, and his stuffed rabbit, Big Carrot. Together, they travel through dreamlike worlds until the morning comes.
There is no detailed storyline yet, but I created this with the hope that “sleeping and waking” will not feel so frightening. I also suffer from frequent night awakenings, and this story came from that experience.
These works were made some time ago, but I still wish to turn them into a picture book one day.
夜に何度も目を覚ましてしまう男の子・ヨキと、彼のぬいぐるみの黒いウサギ、ビッグキャロット。
二人が夢の中を旅し、朝を迎えるまでを描いたシリーズです。
細かなストーリーはまだありませんが、「眠ることや起きることが怖くなくなればいいな」という思いを込めています。
私自身も中途覚醒がひどく、そこから生まれたモチーフです。
ずっと前に描いた作品ですが、いつか絵本として完成させたいと考えています 。
